The catalogue that cast a spell.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child WebAR reveal

The challenge
This wasn’t just another listing. It was one of the most iconic entertainment IPs in the world. The announcement needed to feel premium, cinematic and instantly attention-grabbing. It had to excite schools and theatres globally while elevating a traditional catalogue into something people would talk about, film and share.
The Solution
Playbound built a WebAR image-tracking experience triggered by scanning the Time Turner illustration on the cover. Instantly, smoke rose from the page as the Time Turner emerged, shook and rotated in cinematic 3D, revealing key messaging about the new production licence. In reverse camera mode, users were randomly sorted into one of the four Hogwarts houses, adding surprise and replay value. Built to run seamlessly in-browser with no app download, the experience turned the catalogue into a collectible, interactive artefact designed for social sharing.
