Social AR
To celebrate Aladdin's 10th anniversary at the New Amsterdam Theatre, Disney asked for a social AR experience to create hype. We highlighted the magic trail from the lamp, a key feature in the play. The front camera immerses users in a magical purple environment with the trail wrapping around them. In the back experience, aiming the camera at the Aladdin logo reveals the trail wrapping around the letters. This works on the program cover and billboards around NYC, generating thousands of videos.

All Flows is a creative, design and digital conference held in Milton Keynes so when we were asked to create a filter for this event we knew we had to make it using the latest AR tech. Using the ground tracking feature we created experiences that allowed the user to interact with 3D elements throughout different streams of advertising. The effect created a sense of awe whilst users questioned “how do they do that?” which really set the tone for the entire conference.

The S Thing is a brand dedicated to the “cool S” we used to draw as kids. They wanted something new and fun to show off their new clock so we created 2 effects. The first is a game where the user has to draw the S with the tip of their nose. This filter went viral as a challenge emerged on social media. The second effect used head tracking technology to replace the user's head with the new clock. We also created a series of CGI videos which show off the clocks using hyper realistic 3D models.

As part of our launch campaign we created a series of “FOOH” videos of our orb causing havoc around some iconic landmarks in Milton Keynes.The videos reinforce our desire to distort reality by blurring the line between the physical world and the digital.

During the 2023 AlUla Arts Festival, “FAME: Andy Warhol in AlUla” marked the first display of Warhol's art in Saudi Arabia. To promote the event, we created a social AR filter that placed users inside Warhol’s paintings. Collaborating with the Andy Warhol Foundation, we recreated four paintings in AR, allowing users to switch between them in real-time. The filter was used over 10,000 times, with resulting videos exceeding 1 million views, effectively increasing exhibition awareness and attendance.

Humanscale, a carbon-neutral office furniture company, wanted to educate and encourage eco-friendly practices during Earth Week. They created a "randomizer" filter cycling through 11 steps for sustainable daily tasks. Each video revealed a different step, inspiring users to post follow-up videos implementing the steps. This trend generated significant user content and led to a highly successful social media campaign for Humanscale.

In 2024, Broadway Licensing's annual catalogue will feature “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” on its front cover. The cover, adorned with a minimalistic depiction of the Time Turner, incorporates AR to enhance the reader's experience. Pointing a camera at the image triggers a 3D Time Turner that spins, emits sparks and smoke, and reveals a message about the play. A randomizer then assigns readers to one of the four Harry Potter houses, creating a unique collector's item.
Web AR
The Advanced Factory Unit Painting Club is a cutting edge project working with Arts Gateway and the local artist residents of Arts Central. They wanted to create the world's first AR Art Gallery so using LiDAR and 3D scanning technology we recreated the real world Gallery in 3D. We then created a WebAR experience which allowed the user to place the 3D gallery in their environment, meaning that their work could be experienced anywhere in the world.

For the release of the new Find X5 Pro, OPPO collaborated with National Geographic to create a social media filter that highlights the night mode camera feature. The filter assigns a nocturnal animal, shows a flash, and reveals a night-time image of the animal. Users can tap to learn more about the animal and the camera's capabilities. Additionally, OPPO teamed up with Disney to celebrate Disneyland's 30th anniversary, creating an AR experience showcasing fireworks and the night mode camera's quality.

The Knife Angel, made by the British Ironwork Centre from 100,000 seized blades, raises awareness about UK violence. In collaboration with Thames Valley Police and MK Gallery, we held a workshop where children created wings and brought them to life via an Instagram filter, teaching them about knife crime dangers. In a second workshop, children made collages symbolizing teamwork, which were used in a randomizer effect, highlighting the power of collaboration to create something positive.
