Drop the Bass. Spin the Lager.

Brewpoint Bass Drop AR launch activation
For the launch of Bass Drop, a peach-infused lager from Brewpoint, Playbound turned a simple beer coaster into an AR-powered party starter. Built for a younger, music-loving crowd, the experience fused vinyl culture, bold visuals and WebAR to create something guests could scan, share and remember.

The challenge
Brewpoint wanted more than a standard product launch. Bass Drop was loud, playful and designed for a party audience. The activation needed to match that energy. It had to feel unexpected, interactive and social-first, while working seamlessly inside a busy live event environment. Most importantly, it had to keep people talking long after the first pint.
The Solution
Inspired by the vinyl-record logo, we transformed branded beer coasters into AR triggers. Guests scanned a QR code to launch a WebAR experience, then aimed their camera at the coaster to bring the record to life. The vinyl spun. Bold 3D typography bounced. Campaign music played. Peaches burst from the frame. Interactive links drove users to Brewpoint’s Instagram and a curated Spotify playlist. Using image recognition, the experience also worked anywhere the Bass Drop logo appeared, from beer taps to posters and cans, turning the entire venue into a playable surface.
